Northern Ireland Day Tours can really add a memorable experience to your trip in our enchanting and picturesque country.

The tours are great if you are on a tight schedule or just want to cram in as many Northern Ireland Attractions as you can while you are here.

Northern Ireland Day Tours - Giant's Causeway, Carrick-a-rede Rope Bridge, Carrickfergus Castle, Dunluce Castle, Bushmills Distillery

I have made a list of all the best tour operators in Northern Ireland. Many of you will only have time to fit in the Belfast tours. Steeped in history and culture, this is a great way to quickly get to view the whole city.

Most of them leave from Belfast and will help you discover lots of interesting, fun and historically significant places that easily fit into one highly captivating day out touring in Northern Ireland.

The tours will take you on an engaging journey where you can lose yourself on a voyage of discovery, gain enlightenment and wisdom or relax and break free from the stresses and worries of everyday life.

I'm also putting together my own unique list of tours, starting with Tour One below. They are designed around the use of a car and all leave from Belfast. I hope you enjoy your trip.

The View From Ballygally Beach in Northern Ireland

Tour One

Tour one is all about the North Antrim Coast. Throughout your journey you will get to discover the Giant's Causeway, Carrick-a-rede Rope Bridge, Dunluce Castle and Old Bushmills Distillery.

  • 10:15 Arrive at Carrick-a-rede Rope Bridge
  • 11:45 Depart Carrick-a-rede Rope Bridge for Giant's Causeway
  • 12:00 Arrive at Giant's Causeway
  • 14:00 Depart Giant's Causeway for Dunluce Castle
  • 14:15 Arrive at Dunluce Castle
  • 14:45 Depart Dunluce Castle for Old Bushmills Distillery
  • 15:00 Arrive at Old Bushmills Distillery
  • 17:00 Depart Old Bushmills Distillery for Belfast
  • 18:15 Arrive back in Belfast
We depart Belfast at 09:00 ready for a great day out sight-seeing around the north coast. Our first stop after an hour and a quarter drive is Carrick-a-rede Rope Bridge. You have an hour and a half to spend here. It is a steady 10 minute walk down to the bridge and you can cross it if you dare! There is a small fee for crossing.

Moving on we head towards the Giant's Causeway. Probably less than a 15 minute drive. The Causeway also has a little bit of a walk down to it, so we will spend some time here and have lunch as well. The Causeway Hotel beside the car-park serves great food! I have tried it several times and fully recommend it. We will leave here about 14:00.

Next on our tour we reach Dunluce Castle. Good opportunity to take a few pictures. We spend half an hour here and then make our way to Old Bushmills Distillery. At this attraction there is a tour every 30 minutes approx. It is a very educational and interesting tour about how the whiskey is made. Afterwards you can try some of the famous 'Black Bush'. After you have seen everything at Bushmills we head back to Belfast for around 18:15

Enjoy your exciting day tour!
