Northern Ireland Car HireWhen I'm travelling around Northern Ireland, I have my own car, so it is easy for me to get around.If you are visiting Northern Ireland, you probably won't have that luxury, so the best thing to do is use a Northern Ireland rental car or hire car. Having a rental car in Northern Ireland will ensure you have the freedom and flexibility to go at your own pace and spend your vacation seeing the real Northern Ireland...up close and personal. In a country as beautiful as Northern Ireland, some of the best places to visit are the ones you find by accident. They're off the beaten track and usually not part of any mainstream tour. You're sure to encounter something along the way that's worth getting out of your hire car and spending a little extra time appreciating. If you do..., you can stay as long as you like because there's no group tour bus leaving in an hour. With a rental car, you can tour as much or as little of Northern Ireland as you please, and only visit the areas that are of most interest to YOU. See many different things each and every day, or settle into a small village and really get the feel of rural Northern Ireland and its famed hospitality. The best place to get a hire car is at the airport. If you fly into Belfast International Airport or Belfast City Airport, you have a choice of Avis, Europcar, Budget, Alamo, National and Hertz. Flights to and from Northern IrelandNorthern Ireland is served by three main aiports. You can fly into Belfast International Airport, Belfast City Airport and City of Derry Airport. Dublin is also a good option because it is only 100 miles (2hr drive) from Belfast. When you arrive into Northern Ireland, there is a bus service operated by Translink called Airbus which runs all day, to and from Belfast International Airport from the Europa Bus centre in Belfast, it also carries on from Belfast to many other areas across Northern Ireland. Other bus services and Northern Ireland transport to and from Belfast City Airport and Dublin Airport operate as well. Ferry to Northern IrelandExcellent ferry connections to Scotland, England, France and Europe make this one of the easiest types of Northern Ireland Transport. If you want to tour Ireland by car from anywhere in Europe, using a ferry is by far the easiest method.
